PUNKREAS

Punkreas band was created in early 90s by these members:

Hetyi – vocals, guitar
Andrej – guitar
Miro – drums
Marcel – bass

They started playing punk called „77“

First concerts in close neighbourhood had positive answers, so new offers came, they play in places more far from home and in whole country (Slovakia). Their first festival appearance was on Rock camp 1996 in Kosice. Next year, the same festival, but in Presov brought them a chance to record their first album called HNUSNY STAT (AWFULL STATE, 1997). Hetyi is heading to army for a year, so the band stops playing. After his comeback Punkreas starts playing again, but this time with new members.

They record a demo GARAGE (1999) for theirselves, but this gets to the croud and has positive view, so they go to studio and record the second album called KRUTA REALITA (CRUEL REALITY, 2000). After two years Noga leaves Punkreas and new drummer comes in – Haci. After few months new album comes out – OBETE VOJNY (THE WAR VICTIMS, 2002), officially published by HIRAX RECORDS. Band starts to play in other countries, too. It’s wanted and gets many offers. Next album published in 2003 – ZVLASTNY NAROD (STRANGE NATION). After this album, Haci stops playing because of family problems. So new drummer comes in – Samesz. He brings a new view of music, faster, more dynamical, but still melodic. Band plays a tour of 10 concerts in Hungary and after that goes to studio to record a promo with two songs, and a video to one of them. End of a year 2005 Samesz gets an offer to work abroad, so he leaves the band and goes to England. The band has to find another drummer, because there’s lots of concerts they have to play and Robo is the new member. Punkreas is now thinking about having another guitar player and the left side of a stage fills Miso in. I don’t know, if its a drummer’s curse, but Robo leaves the band too and goes to Ireland. But it doesn’t take a long time and Miso’s brother Riso sits behind the drums. After short time Rastik goes away. Band plays some concerts around Slovakia and Czech republic, but one day both brothers leave the band. So Rastik comes back and there’s a new problem, where to find a drummer and another guitarist. The Drummer is found in Kosice – Teo, and a guitarist Ecko from their hometown. A brand new band starts practicing and after 3 weeks stands on a stage for the first time together. Summer full of concerts brings new offers, and the most important is an offer by a publishing company to record a new album. Now the band is practicing for recording and from 13th to 20 of november 2007 will be in studio and will try to get the best of theirselves to give the HCpunk nation something new.
