Pure Acoustica

If you have received a friend request from me it means that I want you to become part of Pure Acoustica. I would have sent you an email except that Myspace won't let me until I've jumped through hoops to prove I'm not trying to steal your identity or sell you Viagra! If I could have sent you an email it would have been this one Hi, I want to invite you to join me at a new venture called Pure Acoustica. Ok, what is Pure Acoustica? Simply it’s a collection of artists, musicians, poets, comedians whatever, that perform without the use of mics, amps or P.A. I have played a couple of pure acoustic gigs recently and they have been some of my favourite. The freedom and control is a powerful feeling. There’s no worry that the sound engineer will get the balance wrong and the audience response is amazing! The audience don’t have to shout over a loud P.A. and actually pay attention to what you’re doing! I’m spending my time trawling the web for artists and listening to at least 3 tracks from people I think would fit in. Actually there is just one other thing you will need and that is a Reverbnation profile. I’ll be using www.reverbnation.com to organise everything. I’ve been on it for a while and it’s just the best and it’s totally free. So what do you need to do? Simply get a www.reverbnation.com profile and then email me with your details at either http://www.reverbnation.com/label/pureacoustica or pureacoustica@gmail.com and I’ll sign you up. I’ve also got a profile at www.myspace.com/pureacoustica and a Facebook group at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=36453517191 to try and get more interest. There is also a website www.pureacoustica.com This is just for information at present as I’m using www.reverbnation.com to manage artists. Pure Acoustica will be hosting events at venues in and around the Southampton area to start off with so bear that in mind before committing. There are other plans afoot but I’ll let you know those when you sign up.
