:PURE CLIMATE:_____NICK STUBBS: Songwriter and Recording Musician. Nick’s main passion lies in recording, playing different instruments and performing live. He runs a small project studio in East Yorkshire called Seaside Studio. His new album ‘’Acoustic Nights’’ has been crafted from the songs he enjoys playing live! Nick’s lyrics always have something to say, and his songs are sung with passion and sincerity. Over the last three years he has concentrated his time on the Saxophone and Flute and loves nothing more than to improvise with other musicians. He has been very fortunate to have had lessons with ‘’Snake Davis’’ who is one of the UK’s best Saxophonist and flute players. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The song 'LIGHT THE WAY FOR FREEDOM' was writen as part of the WILLIAM WILBERFORCE CELEBRATIONS 2007 Marking the bicentenary of the passing of the ABOLITION OF THE SLAVE TRADE ACT.This track is also on a CD called SONGS OF SLAVERY The CD and accompanying book was put together by ANN BERRIMAN and the Hull and East Riding branch of the Historical Association August 2006.This CD features 19 slavery–related songs, together with six short narratives. The accompanying booklet gives a brief background history..
Contributors include individual singers and musicians, together with students from local schools and colleges and local choirs.
