Growing up listening to music such as R&B, Hip Hop, New Wave, and Rock Pure’s music has a magnetic sound that appeals to fans of all ages. “As a songwriter and producer as well as a singer, I think it’s important to continue creating music and let the fans make their own decisions as to what type of music it is rather than trying to fit my music into a category.” When asked what type of artist he is, Pure responds. “I describe myself as being a worldly artist. One who creates music for the world and people of all walks of life.”
His ambition and love of this art called “music” has earned him the nicknames such as “The Work-a-holic” and “The Perfectionist” from his peers. The Newark NJ native is simply in love with his craft. Struggling and hardship was a recurring theme of life growing up in the inner city as it is for many of his friends and peers. In some instances, that journey still plays a reoccurring role. Thus the reason Pure channels his energy into his true passion in life….music. “Music is my escape, my life story, my love and motivation. I just simply try to offer that gift to the world.”
Pure’s personal approach to songwriting has impressed many of his music industry peers earning him the honors of working on several collaborative projects. It is evident through his musical efforts and work that this young talent is a masterful songwriter/artist.
