Piña Colada Shake
2 scoops Purely Decadent Made with Coconut Milk Coconut flavor ice cream
1 cup vanilla soy or rice milk
1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
2 ripe bananas
2 medjool dates
Blend all together and serve immediately. Makes 2 servings.

Berry-Apricot-Vanilla Parfaits
..Ingredients:
1 cup fresh raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries
1/4 cup apricot preserves
1 pint Purely Decadent Dairy Free Purely Vanilla ice cream
Directions:
Combine berries and preserves in a small pot and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally for about five minutes, until berries are softened. Remove from heat, cover, and refrigerate until ready to use.
To serve, layer each of 4 parfait glasses with ice cream and sauce. Garnish with fresh berries and a dollop of Soyatoo whipped topping, if desired.

One of my extremely inventive and eco-conscious friends created a Purely Decadent Dress for Halloween. (Personally, I think it is so glamorous, it could be worn anytime!) Here's what she told us about how she came up with the idea:
"I ate a lot of the ice cream this summer; this was not hard to do, since my favorite ice cream, Purely Decadent, is delicious, vegan, and comes in many flavors such as Cookie Avalanche, Cherry Nirvana, Turtle Trails, Chocolate Obsession, Coconut Craze, Peanut Butter Zigzag, Chunky Mint Madness, and Cookie Dough. And the company, Turtle Mountain, supports sustainable agriculture and turtle habitat restoration!
Instead of throwing out the containers, I decided to make a dress out of them to wear while teaching my ethics class on Halloween (we’ve been talking about consumerism and environmental degradation). Plus, I wanted to make a cool-looking dress and suggest to the university to have a contest for costumes made out of recycled materials next year. After showing some people the pictures of my dress, there is already some interest in this idea!"
What an imaginative, fun, and delicious way to teach students about recycling! Here are the specs for the Purely Decadent Dress:
Size: Approx. 24” W x 17” H
Weight: Approx. 2 pounds
Materials Used: Approximately 96% recycled materials. Everything from 17 Purely Decadent ice cream boxes (12 different flavors), including the lids was used.
Skirt: 17 ice cream containers, and a small amount of tape, staples, and tiny bits of Velcro.
T-shirt: The round part of the lids from the ice cream containers sewn on a second-hand t-shirt.
Earrings and Bracelet: The edges of the lids of the ice cream containers plus a couple of staples and 2 second-hand clip-on earrings.

I am the younger sister of So Delicious Dairy Free. He thinks that he is the best-tasting dairy-free ice cream on the planet. But between you and me, I am the better looking one and the better tasting one. (Well, just look at the name my parents gave me, and you'll see what I mean.) I am a PREMIUM dairy-free ice cream, and I come in these 21 mouth-watering flavors: Belgian Chocolate, Blueberry Cheesecake, Cherry Nirvana, Chocolate Brownie Chocolate Obsession, Chunky Mint Madness, Coconut Craze, Cookie Avalanche, Cookie Dough, Dulce de Leche, Key Lime Pie, Mint Chocolate Chip, Mocha Almond Fudge, Peanut Butter Zig Zag, Pomegranate Chip, Praline Pecan, Purely Vanilla, Rocky Road, Snickerdoodle, So Very Strawberry, and Turtle Trails.
Like my older brother, I am delicious, and also vegan, kosher, dairy-free, lactose-free, and made with certified organic ingredients. I also have less than half the fat of super premium dairy ice cream, and only 65% of the calories.
Tasting great is important to me, but I also care a lot about making the world a better place. That's why I support organizations that help animals. I think it would be great if you did, too! They can always use a big heart and a helping hand.
