As one half of the critically acclaimed duo Up Hygh during the last four years Daniel Sandell also known as Pure P has been very busy, both in the recording studio and in the DJ-booth. With an album that has touched the likes of hiphop and funk prodigies Ali Shaheed Muhammad, ?uestlove and DJ Vadim, 2006 came to be the big breakthrough for the young group that also recieved a nomination for "best track" in the highly respected World Wide Awards. Working with artists like Little Brother and getting to remix big names like Spacek, Bill Withers and Freddie Cruger, gave an even greater status to the group. But after numerous months of live performances and DJ appearances in cities like New York, London, Barcelona, Munich and Stockholm Up Hygh decided to go separate ways as solo-artists/producers. But Pure P is still a hard working man, as far as making cutting edge beats, reworking other artists and picking those boombastic funky and soulful gems for the dance floors worldwide. Today he is one of the residents and founders of the soul/boogie club DEVOTION. So be sure to look out for Pure P!
