Pure Pod For Now People's Blurbs

About me:

5 years ago Magenta was drumming in a band, and Matt was a drunkard in the audience. Matt threw up on the lead singer, and the pair have been friends ever since.

Fast forward 4 years and Matt was drunk (notice a theme here) at Magenta's office Christmas party at the offices of the Portland Mercury. Matt was loudly proclaiming the Doors were the most overrated band of all time, made fun of hippies, and was chastising Magenta (who is a vegetarian) for not eating Popeye's. Mercury Editor Wm. Steven Humphery made Magenta and Matt a deal—never invite Matt back for any more office parties, and he would give them their own podcast show!

Now the 2 use the show as an excuse to talk about what they do when they get drunk, Matt's unhealthy addiction to gambling, Matt's cats, and oh yeah... they play a little music.

Doug	Jun 24 2008 9:45 PM I swear to god, Matt, you have my personality pegged every time. From "flannel-wearing kids with unwashed hair" to knowing that I already knew who Celebration was, you're a really good judge of character.... but I still don't consider myself a hipster, just a bachelor who doesn't like washing his hair, likes the neutrality of flannel, and spends time on the internet looking for new music to listen to 'cause it's free and kills the time. You guys rock though, hope the "suits" didn't cancel you or anything. I feel your fans should show some appreciation with compliments n' stuff (instead of these spam comments) so the higher-ups can see that uhhh, that you guys do have sort of a fanbase, y'know?

We used to cover that song in highschool and play it again as our encore just so we could scream out the line "GETTING DRUNK OUT ON THE BEACH AND PLAYING IN A BAND...
