5 years ago Magenta was drumming in a band, and Matt was a drunkard in the audience. Matt threw up on the lead singer, and the pair have been friends ever since.
Fast forward 4 years and Matt was drunk (notice a theme here) at Magenta's office Christmas party at the offices of the Portland Mercury. Matt was loudly proclaiming the Doors were the most overrated band of all time, made fun of hippies, and was chastising Magenta (who is a vegetarian) for not eating Popeye's. Mercury Editor Wm. Steven Humphery made Magenta and Matt a deal—never invite Matt back for any more office parties, and he would give them their own podcast show!
Now the 2 use the show as an excuse to talk about what they do when they get drunk, Matt's unhealthy addiction to gambling, Matt's cats, and oh yeah... they play a little music.
