There's more, but I'm tired of listing them. And remember, this is just a random list, so I may just like one song from 'em or their entire musical career. If ya wanna learn more, ya gotta ask.
Movies
When people suggest seeing a movie, I sometimes cringe at first. It's not that I don't like movies, Some movies I really love and hold dear to my heart. It's just... Watching a movie that I haven't seen yet is like a huge time commitment to me. I don't know why, but I usually pass and find something else to do. Maybe it's because I usually go see movies alone, and there's no one to talk to about it afterwards. Maybe thats it. Or maybe it's the lack of interaction involved. I dunno. :) Anyway, here's a list of movies I've enjoyed:
Shaun of the Dead, Ratatouille, Walk the Line, The Goonies, The Blues Brothers, Shaolin Soccer, School of Rock, O Brother Where Art Thou, Aliens, Hot Fuzz, Zathura, Back to the Future, March of the Penguins, War of the Worlds, Terminator 2, Godzilla Movies (Not the crappy American one), 300, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, Happy Gilmore, Star Wars series, A Christmas Story, Commando, Kindergarten Cop, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Transformers the Movie, UHF, The Castle of Cagliostro, Indiana Jones series, and Flight of the Navigator has been a guilty pleasure since it first came out. :) There's probably more good movies I've enjoyed, but that's all I can think of right now.
Television
I Don't have cable or sattelite and the arial reception where I live is bad. So I don't really watch much television. I do occasionally watch CNN live feeds online, and things I find on YouTube, or lil clips of shows here and there... But when it comes to modern day television, I'm a bit out of the loop.
Books
I'm not much of a reader when it comes to fiction / non fiction books. But occasionally I get a hold of one or two and give it a shot. Here's a random quick list:
The Zombie Survival Guide, Fire Officers Guide to Disaster Control, The Holy Bible, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid On Earth, The Visual Story, Cognition and the Visual Arts, Watchmen, The Pretty Good Jim's Journal Treasury, and Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite.
Heroes
Joe Satriani is my Guitar Hero.
Al-Khwarizmi is my Mathmagician Hero.
Jesus Christ is the best Hero of all. Hail to the King baby!
Quick Update: I've added my music to songslide.com

5th Cell - March 28, 2008 - Friday
Howdy all, with a new year comes a new job. Where am I at these days? I just accepted an offer to work as a producer at 5th Cell Media in Bellevue, WA. Here’s a picture of the company logo:
5th Cell has recently moved from the PC casual game industry and cell phone game industry to make rockin’ awesome games for Nintendo consoles. So I’m back in the barrel again making Nintendo Games! yay!
As for other happenings, I just recently came across a board game called Pandemic, and I can’t find a copy of it anywhere. I’ve only been able to play it at local gamer geek shoppes (cause most keep a copy on hand for the patrons to play.) It’s a co-op board game, so either everyone wins or everyone loses, and it can be pretty hardcore at times. My record so far is 2 wins, 4 losses.
It’s got a lot of fun game mechanics that I’ve yet to see used in a board game, and for those who fear a 6 sided cube determining their future... there’s no dice in this game. :) I recommend it to everyone. All ages and both sexes will love this one!
For those curious about the last video game I was a part of, here's the Garden Defense promo:
This seems to be the "About Me" test of the day... It was from tickle and was "What is your Theme Song" survey. Enjoy!
You're singing I feel good by James Brown!
Owwww! Nothing gets you going like an all-out, full force, soul-meets-jaguar, call of the wild. You've got natural soul that comes out in the closed-eye, full-grinned, screeches that James Brown made famous in this song. You don't even need music playing to feel the beat. A blaring car alarm could provide all the rhythm your smooth spirit needs. You were probably voted most friendly, best dancer, or most likely to get this party started, because you do feel good. So good, so good, you can even bring a smile to grumpy Victor Meldrew's face. Like the syncopated beat of your theme song, you add just the right punch to any conversation. Your friends love the up-beat you bring to their down-beat, and your dates are never short of sugar and spice. Whether you are in the middle of an important meeting or stuck in traffic, the King of Soul's "I Feel Good" helps you avoid the diversions and directs you towards the open road to your next event. Owwww!
Who I'd like to meet: A single lady who loves to jam and rock'n'roll, wants to play with me, chit chat till the wee hours BFF style. :)
by the way... I've adopted a Penguin named Morgan Freeman! He's my buddy! Awww, so cute! so hungry for fish! Touch him to make him dance! Keep touching him, he loves it!
Where have you been? I never see you online anymore...makes me sad. :( Well hey I just wanted to say thanks again for helping me see the light the last time we chatted...it's really made a difference. :-) Have a great week! K
Heyyyyyyyyyy I forgot. Did you tell me your brother graduated already or is still in school? we are looking for student workers if he is still a student. let me know. LATER!!!!!!!!! Remember to let me know next time you come to Baton Rouge we have to all get together and hang out.
Aw, too bad, I would have liked a King :) However Happy 4th of July to you as well...although I guess it's technically the 5th now lol. Did you do anything fun to celebrate?
LOL, I'm not almost 22 you silly man. Anyway, I'm on the internet quite a bit, we might just be missing each other. It's summer too so I have been doing some stuff offline so that I don't turn into a complete zombie :P What have you been up to lately?
LOL you're such a dork. You already commented like 5 months ago about me being 21 *shakes head and laughs*. So you've been rockin' huh? How has your job been going? I never got to hear very much about it, just that you got one :P

Hey hey :) I'm sitting at school currently. My computer is broken so I can't access anything, plus I've been really sick so I haven't had the energy to get online anyway. How have you been?
Hey y'all, thanx for bein' our friend! "real friends are hard to find" especially in music. Help keep indie music alive and support yer local acts, even if it's not us (though that is preffered...hehe).

Josh, excellent hanging with you yesterday, I love red robin. I made a sample of what can be done with the joe satriani backing tracks, I placed it on my mhyspace page: http://www.myspace.com/nigelglenwood I use the zoom h4 to record, a small camera to record the video, then I sync the two up. The recording is done on the lowest sound quality the zoom can record at, and I still think it sounds pretty darn good. Umphreys Mcgee is the band I was telling you about, you should check them out, they have some very cool tunes with some nice changes. Cheers, Nigel
Hey! Nah, I wish I had more time to do music, but I might just have to wait until the summer. I mean, we've still been practicin guitar a bit every now and then though. I'm supposed to have that Nick Snell guy from my church come over to jam with us sometime, so I'll let you know when that goes down so you can join us! What have you been up to lately?
