Purity Records is a simple metal/hardcore label based out of New York City, based on a love for the music, and ideas for bringing great music foward. It all began with a comp(19 songs total featuring rare material from Locked in a Vacancy, The End, Kid Gorgeous, Unsound NJ aka We're All Broken, Lariat, Neck, Compression, Proof of Purchase, and Beyond Reason. Bonus video documentary). This was followed by first Locked in a Vacancy full length; one of the hardest working, talanted, and underrated bands out there. Third was a split EP featuring In Pieces(early material prior to signing to escape artist) and Craig(great band from long island). Next was another Locked in a Vacancy's "Ethos" ep. The band has made some great accomplishments since, playing the New England Metal and Hardcorefest, being asked by Hatebreed to support them on several dates, and being the feature of a two page article in Metal Maniacs.
The future looks bright with the signing of Forever I Burn, an intense metal/hardcore hybridfrom PA. They are releasing the full length version of "The Tragedy Dialogs" at the end of July(in time for hellfest), and will feature better recordings of their old songs, new songs, and multimedia/video bonus. Keep an eye for this band/release, we feel this make a major impact on the everchanging heavy music scene. Also look out for the mathy styles of Johnny Cage is a Fake, our newest.
