About Purl of Surf

Originally from St. Margaret's Bay, Nova Scotia, the brother and sister duo made their move to Hamilton, Ontario after forming Purl of Surf in the spring of 2006.

During the summer of 2007, the band was determined to bring their music home to the East Coast and set off on their first tour. The result was a thrilling adventure and many warm receptions along the way.

After returning back to Ontario and playing around the local scene at festivals and great venues, Purl decided that it was time to get in to the studio and record. The much anticipated album Batteryless but Filmfull is currently in the process of being mastered and the artwork designed. The songs you hear today are part of the 12 song Album set to be released in May 2009.

Enjoy the Light and Dark sides of human emotion in these songs, and don't forget to take the time to stop, relax, and appreciate all that is beautiful in this world...
