Thanks Dear Soldier

I give thanks to you dear soldier,
Who stands so firm and brave
While dealing with the fears
You may meet an early grave.

This war was not your choosing
And yet you give your all
To protect our beloved freedom
Lest we should bow and fall

You stand and fight with all your might
For friends and family left at home
You make us proud, we’ll tell you so
When you come marching home.

You fight to free a people
downtrodden and opressed
By a cruel and wicked vulture
Who puts you to the test.

You fight with fiercest pride
At who you are and what you do.
Though sleep deprived and weary
You give of yourself anew.

Your resolve has never faltered
Though often faced with fear of death
Your fellow soldiers count you faithful
Though it be with your last breath.

I could not be more proud
Were you my daughter or my son
For you stand among the very best
Who fight ‘til the battle’s won.

We pray for you dear soldier
That you return to this home shore,
That God will bring you safely home
To live and love once more.

May God bless you, and may God bless America!

Back in September of 2005, on the first day of school, Martha Cothren, a social studies school teacher at Robinson High School in Little Rock, did something not to be forgotten. On the first day of school, with the permission of the school superintendent, the principal and the building supervisor, she removed all of the desks out of her classroom.

When the first period kids entered the room they discovered that there were no desks.

'Ms. Cothren, where're our desks?'

She replied, 'You can't have a desk until you tell me how you earn the right to sit at a desk.'

They thought, 'Well, maybe it's our grades.'

'No,' she said. 'Maybe it's our behavior.'

She told them, 'No, it's not even your behavior.'

And so, they came and went, the first period, second period, third period. Still no desks in the classroom.

By early afternoon television news crews had started gathering in Ms. Cothren's classroom to report about this crazy teacher who had taken all the desks out of her room.

The final period of the day came and as the puzzled students found seats on the floor of the deskless classroom, Martha Cothren said, 'Throughout the day no one has been able to tell me just what he/she has done to earn the right to sit at the desks that are ordinarily found in this classroom. Now I am going to tell you.'

At this point, Martha Cothren went over to the door of her classroom and opened it.

Twenty-seven (27) U.S. Veterans, all in uniforms, walked into that classroom, each one carrying a school desk. The Vets began placing the school desks in rows, and then they would walk over and stand alongside the wall. By the time the last soldier had set the final desk in place those kids started to understand, perhaps for the first time in their lives, just how the right to sit at those desks had been earned.

Martha said, 'You didn't earn the right to sit at these desks. These heroes did it for you. They placed the desks here for you. Now, it's up to you to sit in

Remembering...

Those lost on September 11, 2001... and all those who loved them.

Remembering...

Those that everyday put on a uniform in service of their community... who often go overlooked by those in their communities where they serve and protect. Until, a call goes out... and their services are needed. Thanking them and remembering exactly what they do for us everyday... isn’t something that should only take place once a year. Thanking them upon meeting them in our everyday life is something we should strive to do.

Remembering...

And never forgetting what happened that day... nor the sacrifices made.

There recently was a death of a 98 year-old lady named Irena. During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the WarsawGhetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an 'ulterior motive' ... She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German.) Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried and she carried in the back of her truck a burlap sack, (for larger kids..) She also had a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto. The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.. During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard. After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived it and reunited the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize ... She was not selected.          Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming.          Powerful message, especially the "cartoon."  Let us never forget!63 years later               In  MEMORIAM  - 63 YEARS LATER Please read the little cartoon carefully, it's powerful. Please do this on September 11th

This was sent to me by another Marine Mom

Please do this for Sept 11th

I keep an AMERICAN flag up all the time and to most of us, it should be a no brainer !!!

Just over the weekend I heard on the news that the White House will make an effort to sooth fractured relations with the muslim world for U.S. indiscretions over the last years in Iraq and Afghanistan.

(Also, to include the CIA's methods of extracting information from terrorists to save AMERICAN lives around the world.....! HUMMMMMM!)

IN REMEMBRANCE OF SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 and the thousands of lives lost that day....And the thousands still fighting and dying for US in Iraq and Afghanistan.......

I offer the following,

Unlike Obama and the rest of the whining, sniveling liberals across the country:

I personally will not bow, apologize OR admit to any so called 'U.S. indiscretions' to any muslim (or anyone else) for anything!

Join the millions of TRUE Americans across the country in displaying the FLAG and remembering all of the American lives lost to insure OUR freedom since the AMERICAN REVOLUTION....... !!!!

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE...... GOD BLESS AMERICA....!

if you can read this ... thank a teacher

if you can read this in ENGLISH.... thank a SOLDIER ....!

KEEP THIS ONE GOING

PLEASE PASS THIS ON......

We have a less than one month to get the word out all across this great land and into every community in the United States of
America.

If you forward this email to people and each of those people do the same .... you get the idea.

THE PROGRAM:

On Friday, September 11th, 2009, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the
United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this eighth anniversary of one of our country's
worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who contin
