About Purple Heart

Purple Heart Is A Rock And Roll Band. They Play From The Heart And Play For Keeps. Moody And Raw Sounds Hit Head On With Hard And Sexy Beats To Form A Sound Wave Of Savory Delight. Purple Heart Flirts With Many Sounds But Only Makes Love To The Sounds Of Classic And Alternative Rock & Roll. Delivering Wild & Impressive Live Shows This All Original Rock Group Is True To Its Goal. Keep On Rocking. Over the past six years Sean McKee and Charlie Hepner's song writing and friendship has grown strong. With the edition of drummer Tommy "Beltane" Oliva in the fall of 2008 Purple Heart has formed something special. Starting in a basement in Eugene, now in Portland, Purple Heart seems to have found its calling. Purple Heart hit the streets of Portland hard with a string of several dates starting in November of 2008. The debut album entitled "WORK" released June 18th 2009 is a true representation of good old Rock N Roll with raw and gritty emotion that is sure to capture the dark and moody part of the soul. The record born through years of kinship, heart ache and inspiration is composed of fast hard driving beats and in your face guitar. The somewhat dark lyrical content can be interpreted as delicate balance of love verses hate. Boldly setting out on a ten state, twenty five date independent tour to support their first record, Purple Heart is continuously raising the bar for their live performance theatrics and their overall ambition to live and breathe the music they play.
