Purple Thursday is a four piece punk rock emo band based in Newport, South Wales.
With an array of anthemic lyrics and vocals, melodic guitar parts, the band provides a stunning show of talent.
The only way to understand the music, is to live the music...and that is exactly what PT have done.
Formed in December 2003, the first accomplishment of the new four-piece was to win the talent contest held in the local school.
After a small change in the lineup, and a few name changes, Purple Thursday was reborn.
Now with a collection of songs laid down (at Nottin Pill (Newport), and Screamadelica (Cardiff) ), PT have just released a 5 track EP entitled: Heroes For Hire.

Hey there, just a quick NOYR update. Firstly we're having a big summer sale, you can pick up all our releases (including new albums from Young Heart Attack, 4ft Fingers and The Good Time Charlies, the InSoFar mini album and Loyalties, Radio Dead Ones and Devildolls vinyl) cheaper than you can buy them digitally! Our bands are keeping busy 4ft Fingers will be supporting Lagwagon at the London Forum on July 20th and will shortly be announcing another uk tour, Young Heart Attack should be returning to Europe later in the year and InSoFar are busy in the studio writing for their debut album.
We're currenlty working on a few new releases, more news on that soon and keep an eye open for our new website in the coming weeks.
