If the City Had A Voice... In 2006 Purpose was recognized for his talents in freestyling and battling in particular when he took out the inaugural Double or Nothing Mc Battle, the first Australian Scribble Jam Mc Battle and the 2006 Revolver Mc Battle aswell as taking the crown at many local events such as City of Verses 2. Soon after winning the inaugral Double or Nothing Mc Battle and being recognized both nationally and internationally for his success in the Scribble Jam elements tour he was invited to become a part of the Double or Nothing roster and become the first artist to emerge from it. In 2008 his debut album "Where it Starts..." will be released featuring guest appearances by Trials of the Funkoars, Motive (of Aformentioned), The Skeptiks (Pohetikut, Kadowg & DJ Sum1) and fastly-emerging juggernaut Prime. The album is being executive produced by Trials of the Funkoars and recorded at the Funkoars Lab. Production is being handled entirely by Purpose himself but may feature production from outside producers on the finished product (their names will not be disclosed at this point in time-stay tuned!). PagenElypsis released The "Double '07 Mixtape." in mid 2007. It features production from the likes of Just Blaze, Purpose/Answer, Dialated Peoples, Alchemist and many other producers and also features guest verses from Vex, Answer & Straws. It was launched on August 17th, 2007 and has been making it's way around the Australian underground hip-hop scene since. During his time on the performing curcuit Purpose has played alongside the likes of the Funkoars, Vents1, The Battlehoggs, The Optimen, Hyjak N Torcha, Adroit Effusive and also international artists such as P-Money, Mystro, Dos Noun and K-Rino. On March 5th, 2008 Purpose released his own solo mixtape to further promote his debut album. It was mixed by DJ Sum1 and DJ Next (Turntable Symphony.) Some of the artists featured on this mixtape included Okwerdz (US), Motive, Prime and JV (Iron Projects.)
