Poser 2009
Art, music, Everquest, lately I've been playing WoW. I love travelling, painting & drawing, going to gigs, or just out with friends. I'm learning Vue which is very exciting and challenging my pc skills since my poor clanky old thing can't cope too well with the demands and I have to upgrade it.
I love playing tour guide around London and getting the chance to do all the touristy stuff nobody does when they live here.
Music
My taste in music is pretty wide, although my favourite bands have to be Porcupine Tree and anything that Steven Wilson is involved in ditto Eddie Vedder.
I discovered Franz Keylard's Rogue's Gallery weekly 4 hour prog podcast so am discovering the best of new stuff.
So what I've been listening to lately: Riverside, Amplifier, Antimatter, The DeeExpus Project, Portal, Ayreon, John Huldt, Tarja, Of the i, Ojos de Brujo, (their version of Get up Stand Up is just an amazing mix of reggae and flamenco and latin rythms mmmmmmmmm) So yeah a bit of a mixture there!
Riverside - Panic Room

Movies
Drama with good character studies - The Station Agent, Frankie & Johnnie, A Month By The Lake, 84 Charing Cross Road, Sideways, Hearts in Atlantis, Meet Joe Black, (hmm... bit of an Anthony Hopkins pattern going here...), The Illusionist, The Girl In The Cafe, Under The Tuscan Sky, Pan's Labyrinth... I love anime - Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle...
I really enjoyed House of Flying Daggers, Hero and Seven Swords for their artistic beauty and The One just because Jet Li's in it ;) . I don't like horror or too much violence (somehow martial arts movie violence doesn't count ;P )
Television
Jeeves & Wooster, CSI, Law & Order, Bones, Cold Case, Numbers, Dog the Bounty Hunter ;), Ugly Betty, My Name is Earl, Poirot, UKTV History Channel, Lilo & Stitch, Angry Beavers, CatDog
Books
Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Magician by Raymond E Feist, Like Water for Chocolate. Anything by Isabel Allende. I love fantasy and magic realism so I do tend to lean towards latino writers.
Reading now... Coursework for Certificate in Mortgage Advice /sigh
Heroes
Gummy Bears
You may be smooshie and taste unnatural, but you're so darn cute.
About me: I was born and grew up in Broughty Ferry, a small seaside town near Dundee on the east coast of Scotland. I moved to London when I was 23 and I've been here ever since except for roughly 2 years spent in Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
I'd love to move back home some day probably sooner rather than later but my job and most of my friends are here so it's hard to think of leaving in spite of the crowds and the noise and the crime problems.
My favourite places in the world... The Orkney Islands, Oahu, Kauai, "proper" Spain away from the tourist resorts.
I loved my two hours in Savannah last year and it definitely needs a second longer visit. Peach Tree City (Stepford =P) was amazing lol I love the golf cart thing!). One day I would love to go to Nepal, South America, Madagascar, but those places will have to wait till I have the time to do them justice.
