I love our dog Bear, and our purrfect cats--they consume a lot of my time! Animals, animal rights, the environment & conservation efforts, alzheimer's & hydrocephalus research & funding, gardening, spending quality time with the family, cooking, genealogy research, and travel are all important interests.
We hang out on MyCatSpace a lot. Check out Frito and the Girls at http://www.mycatspace.com/me/fritoandthegirls
Sometimes you'll find an update to Frito's Blog there--but, more often you can read his thoughts on the world at http://fatcatblogging.blogspot.com/

Sometimes, as we worry about our finances when we hand over an already heavy credit card this holiday shopping season, we forget the magic we felt as kids. It wasn't just the presents under the tree, visiting Santa, the lights on the tree... it was something that was in the air: a joyful spirit!
May you be able to rekindle that spirit this Christmas season! Love, Dee
I have been a stay at home mom for over 6 years. My three daughters, ages 14, 5, & 3, are probably at the worst possible age combinations for sanity! With normal work, health and child stressors, my husband, Chris, and I discovered the need for a creative outlet at the end of the day and Purrfectly Rebarkable Pets was born.
While pregnant with our youngest daughter, I was diagnosed with a brain condition called hydrocephalus, and it has changed our outlook on life. We had "postponed" Purrfectly Rebarkable Pets, waiting for the "perfect" time to launch a business. Then we realized that it wasn't really a "business" that we were launching, it was a chance to work on something every day that was important and really mattered to us. Making the "cakes" and gifts really makes us happy. Most people never take the opportunity to follow their hearts, waiting for something that never comes. Life is to be lived now. Tomorrow may not bring the expected. You can visit our website at http://www.purrfectlyrebarkablepets.com to see some of our latest creations.
We are very involved in activities with our daughters and gift giving becomes a very creative event in our house. We love our own pets (4 cats and a dog) as much as our children, so it just seemed a natural leap for us to devote our creative energy and love of gift giving to designing pet gifts. Bear, the lone pomeranian, turned 15 in November and has been in less than perfect health for a couple of years. Puppy housetraining pads reappeared in the house--working in the engineering field in my past life led me to say "I bet we can build something with these". Purrfectly Rebarkable Pets' first Puppy Training Pad Pawty Cake was born!
We believe strongly in the work that pet rescue groups provide and make every effort to support those groups. Last year we supported the Central Ohio Greyhound Rescue and central Ohio based Citizens for Humane Action. We are currently reviewing requests from rescue groups for our 2009 support efforts from donations from the sales of certain items on our website.
