About me:
Purrfriends is the brainstorm of both Molly and Sassy, and the purpose is to provide support of all forms to our furry community. Purrfriends was created because of Cheddar, who was unable to get the emergency vet care he needed to survive. Since then Cheddars' Mommy, Amanda, How Many Kitties and their Mommy, Emma, and Cool Cat Luke and his Mommy, Corinn, have joined the Purrfriends team!
Many of our furriends have gone to Rainbow Bridge, much of it due to lack of funds from the high costs associated with urgent and emergency vet care.
PurrFriends is designed with the intention of furriends helping furriends in such times of emergency. By donating what we consider pocket change, we can pool together to help assist one of our furriends in times of need!
Purrfriends is not intended to assist with routine vet visits, but rather when an emergency or urgent need arises, and our parents are unable to get us the care we need due to the cost. Purrfriends is not a pet insurance fund, we are furriends helping one another through life threatening illness and unforseen instances of need.
Purrfriends does suggest that if you find yourself in need of vet care, to please refer to our link, provided on the left side of our page, to a listing of additional Emergency Assistance organizations in addition to submitting a request for assistance from Purrfriends.
