i have a question that i thought you might know the answer to...
my chinchilla. i've had him since last year march. and he's been fine ever since. but i've been noticing he's been biting the fur of his side. like the hip area. i researched it. he doesn't seem depressed or anxious. and it said it may be because of a new pet and he might be jealous. my hamster recently died. and he was suffering for about a month, and thats when i started noticing but within in this past week its been noticable maybe my chinny noticed the hamster and got upset? and it says hereditary so that might be it to.. but he never did it before, or change in environment, hes stayed in the same area. and it says it's not a big deal but if he's depressed i don't know why he would be. please let me know what you think, he means the world to me.
hello my name is ken laguana. I have been wanting to get a chinchilla for a long time now but i live in shafter, it's about 20 minutes north of bakersfield and my house has a swamp cooler, so i was wondering that if I get one, it probably wouldn't live past the summer because it gets pretty hot here in the summer. what do u think i should do, or do u think that i am able to get one??? thanks

Happy Groundhog Day! This was one of my rescues awhile back. Hopefully he is still sleeping underground and not being rudely awoken to look for his shadow. LOL!
