BIOGRAPHY:
THE QUICK AND THE DEAD
The Quick and The Dead formed in late 2005 in Auckland, New Zealand when Will Saunders (guitar, vox) returned from eight years in London, and met Alistair Walling (bass) and Ben Lockwood (drums).
They have been playing in and around Auckland and have previously released an EP ’Destroy the Obstacle" and are due to release another EP of five songs called ’Heartbreak 365" in 18th April 2008 at the Whammy Bar in Auckland.
The band describe their sound as ’maximumheartn’soulpsychpopmodrockn’roll" and take in elements of all the best types of sounds from the 60’s to now.’Energy and Melody’ is the defining ethos of their music with lyrics detailing the human condition in all its forms; thought, love, loss confusion and light.The band will continue to gig through the coming months and are looking to tour later on in 2008.
