LIVE MUSIC BACK AT Q BALLS (BANDS WANTED) WE WILL BE STARTING BACK WITH LIVE MUSIC ONCE AGAIN HERE AT Q BALLS, BUT WITH A TWIST THIS TIME ! ALL THIS WILL BE TAKEN PLACE IN THE FRONT BAR,(THE ORIGINAL KABARA SIDE) IT WILL BE A ******* NO SMOKING******** ATMOSPHERE!!!!! SMOKING CAN TAKE PLACE IN THE POOL HALL SIDE LIKE NORMAL. STARTING JUNE 4th, CLIFF NICKENS WILL START OFF THE MONTH WITH HIS CREW ON THURSDAYS AND SUNDAYS. IT WILL BE EARILY GIGS FOR HIS FOLLOWING, SO FRIDAYS AND SATURDAYS ARE WIDE OPEN RIGHT NOW. NOT JUST ONE STYLE OF MUSIC WILL BE PLAYED HERE. SEATING WILL BE VERY LIMITED, SO PAID RESERVATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UP FRONT. ALL YOU GUYS I TALKED WITH AT THE JAMBALAYA FESTIVAL CAN START PICKING DATES ON THE CALENDER TO PLAY. PLAN ON PLAYING FROM 9pm TIL. CONTACT US AT 225-644-4006 LETS START DANCING AGAIN!! I was born in a small little town(at the time, but not now) that is Gonzales, La. I grew up right down the road a ways, in Convent, where the Mighty MISSISSIPPI RIVER was our front yard and Sugar Cane fields was our back yard. Grand-Ma raised us, caused mom had to work to support three boys. We had no indoor toilet or hot water, a/c, or central heat. There was six of us in a small three room house until our kin-folk added on two extra bedrooms and moved the outhouse indoor. Later on they built a wash shed which is where the hot water heater and w/d went. The school I attended (ROMEVILLE HIGH) no longer is there, burnt down in 74 or 75. I was in Navy at that time. Stayed in Military until 1980, then started bartending right here where my little pool hall is located. I am one of those jack of all trades and a master of only one :):)! I have never been down the aisle, but have tied the knot twice and have two beautiful daughters that I could never be more proud of. We have a laid back environment here at Q BALLS, all we ask for is respect and you will receive the same (might get some sarcasm and good ole fashion ribbing though). Everyone is family here and if you visit more than once you are too. You ladies don't have to worry about anything here and when you are ready to go, someone will escort you to you vehicle safely, if not me, one of my guys will. So ya'll come pass a good time, expect to laugh and have fun, shoot pool, throw darts, sing, dance it's all good. Here is a pic of the little boat I lived on six months of the year for a few years.
