Filippo Gaetani is a producer-composer-engineer working with artists across US and Europe. He is mainly busy in producing-mixing and songwriting and composing for soundtracks. Filippo grew up listening his sister's 70's David Bowie and Lou Reed rock albums and then starting his own collection, after listening to "The beatles at the hollywood bowl" and John Lennon "Imagine". Blessed as a kid in '79 by a meeting with Fleetwood Mac legend Jeremy Spencer, who taught to him some blues guitar licks, started playing electric guitar and bass in college bands, and sometimes as a lead singer. Blending listenings of Bach & Beethoven with classic and progressive rock, he then developed passion for recording overdubbing infinite layers of multi instruments with a famed reel to reel Revox b77 and two cassette recorders. He then joined rock cover bands as bassist, rhythm guitarist and vocalist and performed supporting major italian acts as PFM and Ivano Fossati. Then, struck by the beauty and richness of the music of Bartok, Debussy, Ravel , Strawinsky and other 20th century composers, he started composing for little ensemble for small experimental theatre music blending in modern instruments. In the late 80's he started working in recording studios as producer, co-engineer, and multi instrumentalist. Joined jazz-fusion guitar talent Gianluca Mosole and performed at Umbria jazz supporting Sting & Gil Evans and Miles Davis '87 italian tour. Then, following complete dedication to music production, he recorded, produced, composed and performed on over 50 albums spanning from pop, rock to jazz and classical/experimental and soundtracks. He is currently part of the collective band Los Angeles Digital Noise Academy, founded by artist-producer Ken Andrews. Recent productions and collaborations include My Excellence , Phil Mccammon , Adrina Thorpe , LADNA , Tessa Drummond, Malina, Q-bizm...
