About me: The Irish are a Division 3 men's rugby club located in the heart of the Midwest. Located in the Quad City area the Irish boast players from both Iowa and Illinois. The Quad Cities is a thriving metropolis nestled along the Mississippi river made up of 5 major communities; Rock Island , Moline , East Moline on the Illinois side and Davenport and Bettendorf on the Iowa side.
The Irish carry 2 men's sides, 1 highschool side, 1 Old Boys side and are in the process of trying to start a women's team. Irish teams have brought home numerous tournament championships among them the 7's National Championships in 1985. The Irish have also grown top level athelete's within the rugby community, sending over 6 players to the USA Eagles among them Tom Billups the Eagles head coach. Irish recent accomplishments are a birth in the Division III Midwest sweet sixteen.
Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursdays at 6:00 at our pitch behind the airport in Moline. Anybody that wants to get a run in or learn more about rugby is more than welcome to join us. Our games are at 1pm on Saturdays in the Spring and Fall. We have parties immediately following all of our home games. Everybody that comes to the game is invited. It is a tradition in rugby that the home teams thows a party for the visiting team.

Chupacabra Challenge #3, the Midwest's top MMA amateur fighting event, to be held in Davenport, Iowa on April 25th, is just around the corner! With less than seven weeks to go, we already have SIXTEEN confirmed matchups on the card! However, we still have room for more fights/fighters!
If you are interested in fighting in this event, please call Ron at 563-209-2863. Leave a message with your weight class (UFC/WEC weight classes), amateur (or pro) record, training experience, and a number to reach you. We can use ALL weight classes, but are particularly interested in some tough 145'ers, 155'ers, 185'ers, and Heavyweights!
