| General | These include R/C airplanes, Photography (darkroom and digital), Computers, Hobby Robitics (started a club and entered several competitions), Target Shooting, reading (mostly non-fiction though), hiking, camping, fishing, skating, skiiing (typical stuff :-) and a host of other smaller things over the years.
| | Music | I'll have to pull out my CD selection and just list them here. (not that I have a ton of CDs..but it will probably help define my taste in music)
I love a lot of differnet music, and have a wide range of interests
from Classic Rock, Flaminco Guitar, some Country, and other stuff. (I'm not into RAP music....and probably other stuff if I really think about it)

But I'll tell you what, some of the greatest heros we should all look
up to are some of the quiet people who do good works every day with no
fanfare.
They are the normal every day people who go through life, not only
raising their kids and caring for their families....BUT also offering
their hands in service to help others. These are regular everyday
people among us who are the silent heros our world could not survive
without. (hats off to them)

About me:
I am an Electrical Engineer working at a Computer Company.
I am currently going back to school for an MBA, as I want to round out
my education and experience a bit past Engineering.
I guess I have had a number of hobbies and interests in my life. (See below in General Interests)
I have tried to somehow volunteer or "give-back" of myself over the
years. Right now I volunteer twice a month at a food pantry, and serve
as Eucharistic Minister with my wife at church. I volunteer at several
schools helping them with computer help (training, maintinance and network or whatever support they need)
In the past I helped weekly at a local Soup Kitchen, helped with
Baptism Classes at our church. I was elected to several positions,
including two terms for Parish Council at church, two terms on my
town's Budget Committee (Chairman for one year), and three terms as Library Trustee of my town's library (Chairman for 2 years). I was a member of the School Boards Technology Committee when we computerized and networked out town's school (a few years back :-)....and I was a Mentor of a High School Robotics Team for 6 years. (I was Team Lead for 4 of those 6 years)
I guess I enjoy using any knowledge or skill I possess to help or teach
others. This is why I have considered a change in career to teaching.
BTW: My father started as a Mechanical Engineer (Degrees in Physics) and ultimately changed career and retired a College Instructor. (Physics)
Oh yea....if you haven't figured it out....I guess I'm sort of a hyper-communicator.  I type a lot!

Who I'd like to meet:
Just generally nice people who might want to communicate about almost anything!
I've only a little traveling around our country, and very little around the world. I'd love to talk about travel.
I'm always interested in people's hobbies, and even just how they get through life. (always of interest)
I even enjoy politics and religion....though we all know this can be a very divisive set of topics these days. (but they really don't have to be you know...we can all learn from each other if we not only open our ears, but also our mind and heart.)
So, like I said.....just generally nice people who want to share thoughts and ideas.
