It's Q oNe A. Born on November 2nd, 1989, in Amsterdam NY. Was born and raised here, Moved to North Charleston, South Carolina around '04 or '05, And spent a year or two there until I came back up to Amsterdam. I grew up around music, Having a room between my older brother who constantly played rap music, and my older sister who loved rock and country. And being around my mom who listened to older music, and my dad who loved metal, I grew up listening to all types of music. I always liked rap music the most, and started to rhyme words when I was little without even making any sense.
When I got older and we started doing poetry in school, I realized my talent and started writing poems. I've had a life of struggle, and the more that happens to me, the more I have to write about. I took it more serious as I got older and realized this is the only thing I'm actually good at, and decided to keep at it. In Feb. of 2008, I took a bus trip to Maine to record with Lady Essence. This was the first time I've ever recorded in my life, and after that I started to record more and more with locals here in Amsterdam. I've gotten better and better and worked hard to get where I am right now. Studio location issues have paused my career many times, and continues to do so, but once I get a job I can keep and get an apartment and a set up, Expect many more mixtapes and an album.
As for projects I've released, In 2008 I released a mixtape entitled "Welcome To The Lab", Which is a compilation cd consisting of artists I work with at www.warlab.com It was made to show how much talent the website has and how we should not be overlooked. The mixtape has turned into a series, and will have more releases coming soon, along with a new download link for the original.
But when I'm not working on that, I'm usually working with other artists and we help each other to get better and better. I promote artists, I ghostwrite, I'm starting to produce, I'm a recording artist, I'm a sexy beast...I'm pretty much a record label's wet dream.
Constantly working with music and coming up with new ideas and ways to get the sound of real hip-hop out worldwide, Keep an eye on me and I can guarantee that you will never be disappointed with my creative decisions and ear for good music. (LULZ totally bit that from my last bio.)
