General
QPTV provides the training, production tools, and resources for Queens residents and not-for-profit organizations to use public television as a medium for exercising their first amendment rights and expressing their unique and diverse views, interests, and backgrounds in our community.
Channel space is made available to all Queens residents in a fair and non-discriminatory manner on a first-come, first-served basis.
QPTV offers qualifying, not-for-profit organizations in need of production assistance, a Grant-Aid program giving non-profits the opportunity to reach a diverse and greater audience.
Channels 34, 35, and 56 on Time Warner Cable and channels 82, 83, and 84 on RCN present programs produced primarily in English that cover numerous topics, subjects, and genres.
Channel 57 on Time Warner Cable and channel 85 on RCN feature foreign language and culturally diverse programs that highlight the varied ethnic populations within the Borough of Queens and the City of New York.Television

I love what's going on at QPTV. Sometimes, when I am on vacation with my boyfriend, I make sure I tape all my favorite shows including Ms Divine's Tee Hee Heure.
And to top it off, I love grooving to that new song you guys put in between the programs. You know, that nice red screen with the funky music. I'm just dancing and hollering over it till my favorite show comes on. It really puts me in a good mood and makes me feel so happy. lalallala

This year our newest PARTNER is Collegiate Nationals; a CBS company. THEY WILL ALSO HOST THE TOP STUDENT FILMS ON THEIR WEB SITE. THE public will be able to vote online for their favorites.
You can be any age to participate but must have been a student when the film/video was produced. Visit www. studentfilmfestival. org for a submission form or to view films from previous years.
