..
We recently recorded a few new songs to delight you... "When I was a boy" and "Gregory". (Our friend Hyrum Summerhays mixed the latter.)
The song "Gregory" is available on an EWR compilation entitled "Faint Transmissions V3", released recently in Sept. 09'. There are lots of great songs by other bands on the cd... including a new 'Rook & Owl' song, as well.
Thank you very much! I added that one quite recently, I'm glad you like it...haven't had any feedback on that one yet I don't think! So thank you!
I wanted the break in the song to represent...well I wanted it to be like that moment where you've been in a terrible situation for a long time and then one day you just stop in your tracks and think "What the hell am I doing?" The moment the light-bulb above your head flickers to life and you suddenly realise what's going wrong and exactly what you have to do to get things right again. The lyrics are from poems I'd written a few years back, and the music just happened around the words. Also, the first half of the song I purposely left lots of background noise in to represent distractions and lack of clarity.
Jeez, I never analyse my music to such an extent lol. I'm sounding pretentious and egotistical...so I'll shut it up.
I'm looking forward to our musical adventure :D I'm excited! :D I need to get my throat recovered asap! Tea and honey I've been told...I'll go far that cuz it sounds tasty!
How're you guys doing?
I'm pretty sure you don't celebrate it but what the heck, Happy Bonfire Night!
Love the new song guys, but then again I'm not surprised because you've not disappointed me once! I finally got 5 mins to sit down on my laptop to listen to it! :)
I'm going to book some time off work at the end of November I think, knuckle down with some song writing, so I'll email you some potential ideas around then...and vice versa yeah?
I'm experimenting with about 6 different softwares at the moment...trying to decide on a permanent one for PC. Nothing is comparing to Logic on the Mac though...I'm really considering writing/recording on Logic on my old mac (which is quite slow due to it's age) and then somehow transferring the track over to the PC for detailing. I'm not sure...I'll persevere with trying out all the PC software when I get spare time (working a LOT atm), but I'll figure something out!
How're you doing anyhow? Any new material for me to salivate for? :D

Hi Sara & Jason! Subrosa is playing a show next Tues. Sept. 8 at Urban Lounge. You should come. We're playing with a doom-drone-prog band from Portland called SubArachnoid Space and a doom-noise band from Italy called OvO. We'll probably go on first, from 9:30-10:15, so you could still tuck Kaleid & Hazel in. Ha ha. If you can't come, we should def. hang out soon. Hearts.
Hiya friend- Just dropping a message to ask for our MySpace friends & fans' help-
We are in the final round of a contest to determine the opening band for the Blink 182 show in Utah next month! This is very exciting for us, but we need your help to make this happen! If we could ask you to surf to http://blinkvoting.x96.com and just click the 'vote' button next to our photo- we would truly appreciate it. The contest only records 1 vote per IP address, so we'll only ask you to vote this once. 10 seconds of your time could REALLY help us out.
No problems ^-^ I do try to keep up with your guys stuff, and saw the bulletin, was on your page in a heartbeat. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to more new material :D
Hope to see you at the show this Saturday at Boing! It's Brook Pridemore, Bombs and Beating Hearts, Vikesh Kapoor, The Skaficionados and Problem Daughter! starts at 6pm!
