Sounds Like
We are somewhere between SlipKnot and Britney Spears.
Quarter To Nine, what can you say about us, other than. Not only do we rock, but we also roll. And we roll quite well.
Most especially --Dustin,-- Who used to be a tumbler in an Asian circus. The name of which roughly translates to, the Not very Fun so Dont Come show. The Show was wildly successful but sadly, Dustin, was not Asian. By the time he was 13 he was taller than most of his fellow performers, and became, awkward. So after much deliberation, and a few shows where he was made to wear a leotard that was much to small for him, he moved on. He thought, Where can I go that will make me happy beyond my wildest dreams and help me to become a famous performer? Well he closed his eyes for 3 days and 3 nights. When he opened his eyes he looked around and said, Oh crap Im in South Dakota. So began his ascension to fame and glory
--Brady (The Big Bopper)--Bradys climb to fame started when his mother introduced him to the ancient art of midget wrestling. Seeing as how he was of the short and stocky persuasion, he took to the sport like A thing that takes to other things very well. By the age of 10 he had to retire because the rigors of fortune and fame of the professional midget wrestling world proved to much for such a young boy. To this day he proudly displays his championship belt on his wall, next to his mothers picture. Now at the ripe old age of 22 Brady has decided to try it again but this time as a drummer. When asked why the change in interests he simply replies, "Because." Profound words from a profound man.
--Duran-- The newest addition to Quarter To Nine, Duran used to make his living doing stand-up comedy with another individual with the name of Duran. But after a law suit involving a band with the same name as their act, they were forced to disband. After a long hiatus, during which he bided his time with doing as little as possible, he met a small man with small hands who stole his wallet and fashoned it into a hammock. Duran was at first enraged, then inspired. He thought to himself,"If this little man with this terrible deformity, can outwit and steal from someone who was obviously superior
to himself, then there was no reason I shouldn't be able to do the same."
With that idea bouncing in his brain, he kidnapped the little fellow and kept in the cupboard above his sink. Then Duran heard that the band Quarter To Nine was looking for a new guitar player. Due to their last one exploding after being exposed to too much sunlight. He decided to try out and, because the band was deperate and nobody else wanted the job, he got the job! When asked what he thought of the exciting news he was quoted as saying,"Eh."
--Justus--, Born in Alaska from a long line of Chippendale dancers, Justus was forced into an early retirement due to severe frostbite. Shattered, he wandered off into the wilderness and befriended a family of penguins who later starred in the blockbuster hit "March of the Penguins". Inspired by their fame he decided to turn his life around and move to South Dakota. Upon arrival in South Dakota he realized the flaw in impulsive decision making. Aside from a handfull of jelly beans, he found a stuttering bum, a midget, and a carnie....all the ingredients of a successful rock band. When asked what he contributed he replied, "The best cheek-bones in the business."
Come down and show off your skills, artists of all kinds are welcome. Unfortunetly the show is 21+, if you are interested if performing contact Tony Ford @ afford@jacks.sdstate.edu Tell your friends, hope to see you there.
we'd love to! Liked your energy a lot! We're coming up on the holiday season and we're trying to finish a CD, so that might be one of our last shows of the year. But, once the CD is done and holiday scheduling madness subsides, we'd like to start planning a lot of shows. Keep in touch, we'll stay tuned!
