About me:
[ATTN: AFTER ONE FINAL SHOW IN OCTOBER, QB WILL NOT BE BOOKING ANYMORE SHOWS UNTIL ATLEAST LATE 2007. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INQUIRIES]
Quadraphonic Booking is an independent show production company dedicated to booking shows in the Rochester, NY area for local and regional indie, punk, rock, alternative, mathy, hardcore, screamo, folk and grindcore bands looking for a place to play. We support many different types of independent musicians...as long as you don't suck. We're more likely to book interesting, new, and fun bands and not watered-down copycat whateverness.
Anways...QB is operated by Nate Derby (Her Name Is june) and Nick Marianetti (The Looking Glass Self) of Canandaigua, NY.
It's members have gathered years of experience in booking local shows to do what we can to help bands in need -- we all know on a personal level how hard it is to book local shows for a tour, or to book a show period.
We try and maintain a good relationship with independent venues and art-spaces such as A/V Space, Door 7, and All Things Art (canandaigua, ny) and try NOT to book at bars or clubs to prevent unnecessary alcohol use/abuse and violence and also to support the causes affiliated with independent venues. We also work with venues such as "The Salvo Center" (canandaigua, ny) to support charity organizations like The Salvation Army.
We try to book in either Rochester or Canandaigua depending on the band and what date you're looking for, but if necessary we might be able to put together a show in Buffalo if that's what you need.
Let it be known that we are all VERY BUSY individuals. We will try our best to get a show for you if you need one but this is not our life -- not to sound arrogant, but if it's decided that you're not worth our time or effort, we can only help you by providing other people you can contact in the area -- if we know any. Ideally we'd like to do about 3 shows a month, but that's if we're lucky.
