Quad Sax, issu du groupe ..Urban Sax .., permet une réécriture musicale des compositions de Gilbert Artman sur des boucles rythmiques électroniques, et ainsi de traduire l'univers d'Urban Sax en s' imprégnant des musiques des différents continents traversés (Asie, Europe, Moyen Orient)..... Les quatre saxophonistes de Quad Sax proposent, en utilisant la famille du saxophone comme source sonore, une transformation et un pétrissage du son par l'électronique, diffusé en 5 points indépendants les uns des autres, qui abolit les contraintes de distance entre les musiciens..... Le public se trouve au centre d'un espace sonore où les ruptures, les silences, du son discontinu au continu interrogent en permanence l'oreille... Les structures musicales par effet de tuilage sont les fondements où chaque musicien peut en soliste créer des interactions, des espaces de liberté... L'architecture du lieu où se produit Quad Sax, qu'il soit naturel ou urbain, est un entourage qui permet aux musiciens de s'approprier les ouvertures, les sommets, les vides, les parois, enfin de traduire l'humain dans l'urbain............ ........QUAD SAX, an offspring of ..Urban Sax .. , enables us to listen to  a new version of gilbert artman's compositions ,its  use of  electronic rhythm loops  helps us to  portraythe different continents visited and the urban sax world ... The four quad sax members  offer a re-working and sound scuplture using electronics , coming from 5 different sources , which abolishes restraints imposed by distance between each musician... .. The audience finds itself amidst a sound environment  in which silence, continuous and interrupted sound are a permanent challenge to listening . .. The musical structures by a "tiling effect" are the foundations on which each individual  musian can create interactions and  free expression . .. The physical architecture of the venue of any quad sax performance, be it rural or urban, is that of an environment  which enables musicians to dwell in the exits, the peaks , the empty surfaces, the sides , actually   to bring humanity into what is urban............. ......CD 14563 SPALAX ed.
