Happy December!

As a winter present for everyone, I'm offering a free novella on my website. Please check it out!

A HAPPILY EVER AFTER OF HER OWN

Melinda Lightfoot, a preschool teacher with an unusual ability to flit in and out of fairy tales, never thought she would get into trouble...

...until the Fairy Tale Police arrest her while she is in Beauty and the Beast. They offer her a deal: Find Beauty, who left the story when Melinda trespassed into it, or be charged with the ultimate crime -- Fairy Tale Killer. If that's not bad enough the Beast tags along in search of his true love, and Melinda starts falling for the fairy tale prince. She must choose between doing the right thing and having her own happily ever after.

How To Buy a Love of Reading

Thanks for adding me, Quake. It's great to connect with other people who love books!

I've added a section to my novel's web site where people can share stories about how reading changed their lives. I'm envisioning this as a community of stories *about* the power of stories.

All submissions will be posted (subject to approval to weed out spam and profanity), and between now and the novel's release date on May 14th, three of them will also be chosen to be made into flash-animated "books" on the site's virtual bookshelf. (The winners will also each receive a signed copy of HTBALOR.)

I'd love if you visited the site and contributed your voices:

www.howtobuyaloveofreading.com.

I've also put together a trailer for the book that I hope you'll find funny:

Thanks for the add! If you haven’t already, please check out my novel, GETTING IN TUNE, and hear the fictional Killjoys at www.rogertrott.com. The story is about an angst-ridden guitarist who drags his band onto the road in search of the transcendent power of Pete Townshend’s Universal Chord. It’s a wild ride through the world of ‘70s rock & roll. Best—Roger Trott

Quake Teens

If you want to vote this year here is your chance!

This is the last year for my book Misty Nights to be nominated for Colorado's Bluce Spruce Young Adult book award.

Recieving this award is not only a great honor coming from Colorado, but an even greater honor to recieve it from my fans.

Teens go out and vote!!!

Please visit http://cal-webs.org/bluespruce/voting.htm or speak with your local or school library about voting to make sure Misty Nights is on the nominated list.

Thank you so very much!

Sincerly,

I’m rather excited because I have a small part in an upcoming film based on Steve Aylett’s book LINT. Remember how “Spinal Tap” was a spoof on Heavy Metal bands and “The Ruttles” was a take-off on The Beatles? Now, Science Fiction has LINT!

Did you know that it's Beautiful Women Month? Well, it is and that means you!!!

I'm supposed to send this to FIVE BEAUTIFUL WOMEN, and you are one of them!!!

Below is a wonderful poem Audrey Hepburn wrote when asked to share her "beauty tips?" It was read at her funeral years later.

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness...For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone... People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others.

If you share this with another woman, something good will happen. You will boost another woman's self esteem, and she will know that you care about her.

It's BEAUTIFUL Women Month
Hugs,
Squeeeeeze!!!
You've been given a hug.

So start Hugging

Hey, thank you for giving me a little space in your space.

While you are laying out by the pool, you might want to pick up my new book, The Second Virgin Birth. It's a great summer read.

Regardless of what you do, just remember this: Good friends don't let you do stupid things......alone!
