About me:

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada, right near the SW entrance to Lake Mead National Park, which is just beautiful and I try to go hiking or camping there once a week when it's not too hot. I am also half an hour away from Valley of Fire National Park, which is equally beautiful, if not more. I enjoy reading, especially historical, both fiction and non-fiction, and a lot of Science Fiction. I also enjoy writing, mostly Science Fiction and Horror


I am a LINUX user, got tired of my computer crashing while I was in college so I went and got a linux disk, installed it, and never looked back, haven't had a crash yet. I highly recommend Slackware Linux.


I love music, my mp3 player goes everywhere with me, my favorite program for listening to and organizing my 30 Gigs of music is Amarok


I took some entomology classes while I was in college and became a hobbyist. Check out some of the cooler sites on the web for entomology if you think you might be interested I recommend The Essig Museum of Entomology at UC Berkeley, and also Bugguide.net

I love the ancient Chinese game of GO, it's one of those games that takes a few minutes to learn but a lifetime to master, I run th.e local Las Vegas GO Club

I am a lifetime learner, and plan to be learning new things for the rest of my life. I am trying to finish my Mathematics degree, so I can start working on another one. If you think education is expensive, try seeing how much being uneducated costs you. Education is a bargain at twice the price.
