The Remix-Service QUANTUM DUB is one project (out of three) of the musicians BEYOND
(CHRISTIAN WEBER) and JFLASH (ANDY DRABEK) from Altenburg / Germany. In addition to
this they work as multi-channel-DJs, are also the main part of the band UR.
Both the musicians started as remixer. Since the very beginning they wanted to tread new paths.
The music as an expression offers the possibility to create a new world. So there's no need just
to change a song to get a remix finally, the result might have a new atmosphere. Creation &
Believe!
Since ten years Beyond and JFLash goes the same way, put their names into scenes and
always surprise with their kind of interpretation. In 2006 they startet working on the remixcompilation:
QUANTUM DUB - THE FIRST MIX. The CD will be released end of october 2008
at QUANTUM DUB RECORDS. This is the beginning of a sampler-series that shows
impressional remixes together with coverversions plus the band UR.
QUANTUM DUB - THE FIRST MIX includes remixes of songs from different bands. Beyond and
JFLash presents artists like KEN FREEMAN, DIERDRE, OBSC(Y)RE, DISTAIN or COLOR
THEORY. These new interpretations are sometimes experimental but also meditative or
suitable for radio airplay. A coverversion of „Stripped“ (DEPECHE MODE) and the song „Karma
Planet“ of UR completes the compilation. THE FIRST MIX invites you to a journey. It gives a
fascinating new view on known songs to the listener.
On special quadrophonic-events Beyond and JFLash shows a very new way of sounds on
disco. The band UR is currently working on their debut-album.
