    Quarry Grove's Interests
GeneralBig fan of MySpace. Increasing the network of book orientated myspacers! Let's all work together! If you've got a book out - and I can manage it - you'll take priority on being showcased on my "top friends" (no promises though!). Also big on ecological issues - let's try and keep this planet going for us just a little longer! Recycle and re-use !
BooksRoald Dahl's Fantastic Mr Fox has to be one of the greatest books of all time! Watership Downs is another clear favourite!
HeroesDouglas Adams, JK Rowling, Roald Dahl, Raymond Briggs, Richard Adams and Terry Pratchett.

Quarry Grove is a community of unusual insects living in universe not quite like our own.

The Quarry Grove books are a new range of fantasy books for children with a spark of fun and humour that kids and adults can enjoy alike by writer Clive Tandy and illustrator James McLean.

Quarry Grove was originally conceived nearly 30 years ago!

After the usual rejection letters there was a big publishing deal for Quarry Grove planned with a great deal of French interest. From that, there was a whole bundle of proposed spin-offs and promotions that the publishers and their partners were already making before my final draft had been done!

Unfortunately, as will all things, a couple of mice in the machine brought the whole thing to a stop. All left me pretty disillusioned with book writing... until last year, when my granddaughter found the manuscript on the "throwing out pile" and encouraged me to get it published. So here it is. With far less proposed publishing frills (maybe I'll go into some of the bizarre promotional ideas they had 30 years back in the blog sometime!), but I think it will take more than a few mice to clog up the Quarry Grove machine this time round!

Quarry Grove:
In a time when communities are indeed full of diversity, be it race, religion or otherwise, Quarry Grove aims to instill the need for people to work together - no matter what there background is, or their skin colour, or their ideology on life.

Be you insect or non-sect, communities can overcome their difficulties together, and beyond the silly humour, odd characters and funny stories, Quarry Grove is very much about the idea of community spirit.

Each book is fully illustrated in paperback and on an international release.

We hope Quarry Grove's MySpace Page will be a hub for all like minded individuals - be they insect or otherwise! Keep an eye on the MySpace Quarry Grove Blog for more news!
