Quarter Life, one of Ottawas freshest new bands with a brand new EP entitled "All Of My Heart" released July 13th, 2008 at the Ottawa Bluesfest. It takes its name from that point in life where it's time to rock out, being passionate about it's now or never attitude, and loving every second.
In 4 years since their formation, Quarter Life has earned opening spots on main stages for acts such as ZZ Top, Thornley, and Three Days Grace as well as collaborations with Cuban artist Elmer Ferrer (www.elmerferrer.com) who opened for Kid Rock during Ottawa's Bluesfest 2005 as well as 3 Quarter Life performances at the 2005 Havana Jazz Festival in Cuba.
Quarter Life has recorded a 4 song EP including a song called Home, which has had local commercial radio play on The Bear and Live 88.5 and also was one of the top tracks in a National Songwriting Contest, Ottawa Division. This finalist placement is, according to Kath Thompson of 106.9FM The Bear, "An incredible achievement when you consider there were 463 entries. I think you should know that "Home" came in a very close second. I do not know if you can say one song is better than another at that point."
