The Chicago Pop/Rock/Alternative band, QuarterMile, surged onto the music scene after the group was formed in 2003. Since then, QuarterMile has performed with Chicago's best up and coming artists. QuarterMile has also stepped onto some of the best stages Chicago has to offer, such as the Cubby Bear and Kinetic Playground, which were XRT and Q101 sponsored events. Offstage, the band spent most of 2007 at V Studio, Signal Sound Source, and Studio Chicago, to record their 1st album, Lake Effect.
QuarterMile had the privilege to work with Mikey Vujasin (of Beneathme), Andy and George Langis. QuarterMile kicked off the New Year with a CD release show at the Abbey, which entailed a colossal collaboration with bands like Cobalt & the Hired Guns, Catch a Tiger, and The Tallest. In addition, the band has made their presence known
on all major online stores, such as iTunes. One of the largest A&R companies, TAXI, has recognized QuarterMile music for their infectious riffs and passionate hooks. QuarterMile is now engaged in a Chicago City tour to promote Lake Effect and is continuing collaborative work with Midnight Standard, Q101 Local Room, and other Chicago bands.
