Quarterstone began as a trio of guys from a small town called Queen City, Missouri. Dustin Watt and Codey Veatch formed the band in 2000 and in 2002 they found their permanent drummer with Oren Hawkins. After that the band began the process of making and recording songs everywhere from a 6x6 closet to an animal processing facility. In 2005 Tell Summers signed on with the young group and they finally had all the pieces necessary for a gigging band. They played locally around the northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa area for two years until they broke up in the fall of 2007. Finally, in 2009 they have reunited in St. Louis to bring their own brand of rock to the drooling masses. The quartet is now a trio after the death of their lead singer, but that will not stop these musically maniacal perverts from molesting the ear canals of willing folks everywhere. So be prepared, cause we're back!

To all those who wish to leave comments, anecdotes, cherished memories about Dudz, do so in peace, not anger. Blame and fingerpointing do not belong on this page. If you feel validated in doing so, do it somewhere else, this is a page for grieving and healing for those who need it. This comes from a man who has known Dudz for many, many years. He was and is still one of my best friends. Keep this page cool please...
What I remember about Dust is that he always had time to stop and chat when I ran into him. He seemed pleased to see a friendly face. I remember him painting his left fingers black as a tribute to Left Hand Black. I remember him being so shy at the ship when Quarterstone first played out with LHB, that he sang in another room, so no one could see. I remember Quarterstone and LHB playing in the middle of a corn field in the middle of no where. I remember his smile, and I remember his laughter. I remember that voice. I remember.........and I will never forget.........Jerry
Thank you, for every moment we ever shared... Thank you for, every kind word you ever spoke to me.... Thank you for being brutally honest... Thank you for opening my eyes to a whole new way to look at life.... Thank you.... From the bottom of my heart... And I'm looking forward to giving your son guitar lessons... Dont worry, I'm all over it.... Ryan LHB
