About me: I LOVE to Sing and if you know me it would be well duh! she LIVES to sing!! I am the Assistant Director for Emerald City Chorus (Sweet Adelines International Region 7) here in Wichita, Kansas. Being highly motivated and having a great attitude keeps me happy and constantly reaching for the sky! BARBERSHOP - Just a hobby???? PLEASE It is my life!!!! and I LOVE IT!! I'm Emerald City's new Membership Coordinator, and in my 2nd year as Education Coordinator for Region 7. AND I'm a brand new tenor lovin' my new quartet, "Stellar"!!
My professional musician hubby, Ray, and I share this crazy musical passion! He plays jazz, blues and gospel on the piano, guitar, and bass guitar. We have two sons, Ray-13 and Tyler-11, who never cease to amaze us! If you can believe it, my 7th grader is 6' 1" with my fifth grader not far behind. We love to watch them play football! I am one of the mom's screaming and running up and down the sidelines. haha!
I hope so. Within the year, we should decide on the area. If you look at air quality maps, where we live, in Bakersfield, Ca, it is one of the worst air quality areas in the Nation. I believe we are still one of the top 5. My teenage son has gotten the same thing that my husband got when he was young. Valley Fever is prevalent in this area, some of Arizona, and lower parts of Utah. It is a fungal spore that invades the body and compromises the immune system. So, I have been determined to find another region of the country. Nice to hear from you, Lisa. Hope you had a lovely weekend!!XXOO Pat
Lisa, you are so right. It was an amazing experience, to say the least! We have been very fortunate to have had the year to enjoy this magnificent country. I love the area we have lived this past year, and I have grown to know the locals and I will miss them and the total atmosphere of this beautiful country. Maybe "Sad" was the wrong word....but whatever word I am searching for...it's pretty close! LOL
