Organetti, cornamuse, chitarre, violino, flauti... il quartetto "L'Escargot" propone l'ascolto, in un'atmosfera raccolta e informale, di arrangiamenti originali di valzer francesi, ballate del nord Europa, nonché un repertorio di brani propri: musiche eleganti e suggestive, che aprono all'improvvisazione ed al sogno.
I musicisti provengono da una vasta area di esperienze e progetti, e qui uniscono le loro ispirazioni piu' intime, giocose e personali.
L'Escargot ha da poco pubblicato il primo cd Corri.
Accordéons diatoniques, cornemuses, guitares, violon, flûtes,
le quartette L’Escargot propose l’écoute, dans une atmosphère intime et informelle, des arrangements originaux de valses françaises, ballades du Nord d’Europe, et même un répertoire de ses airs: musiques élégantes et suggestives qui s’ouvrent à l’improvisation et au rêve... Les musiciens viennent d’un grand domaine d’expériences et de projets, et ici ils rapprochent leurs inspirations les plus intimes, joueuses et personnelles.
L’Escargot vient de publier son premier cd Corri.

Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?
Escargot is a magic small animal, bringing slowly but surely, lovely and deep music, to make people feel good ! Well, I will stop cooking them over christmas.. I promise ! :) Merci pour la musique !
