Sounds Like
Your going through some very cool and exotic places.
Formed in 2004. The 3 musicians in this band are always looking to stretch the boundaries of there music. Being an all Insturmental band helps that process. Quasitone met at an open mic night, and from there on they knew they had the same thing in mind. So they met every Sunday to write & record at the Reedcording studios. Most of there recordings are live straight to hard disc. But there are a couple of produced tracked songs (Smoldering Fires) However on tracks like "Song for Camille" You can really hear the free flowing live feel. Thats the direction Quasitone went with for there first recording effort " Painting outside the Lines."
The combination of insturments used in this band is also quite unique. With Juan playing the Chapman Stick. and fretless and 8 stringed bass. Mario useing Guitar synths and fretless guitars, And Reed using assorted triggers on his kit for percussion effects. They have no doubt created a sound that is there own!
