Right now i am pretty much only obsessed with Showtime and work and my kid. I think that makes me the 3rd most boring person that has ever, or will ever liveMusic
I love classic rock, the Beatles in particular, Folk music and folk rock, Ani Difranco, Toshi Reagan, Peter Paul and Mary, you name it i probably like something in the genre ..Movies
Right now I am obsessed with watching Knocked Up because it is basically my life, only with a far more attractive heroine. I have been both the knocked up, overly tense 23 year old, and the over bearing occasionally needy wife with the ever reluctant husband. Its pretty much the only movie i ever want to watch because it gives me perspective, reminds me where I came from.Television
Television and I are best friends, we get along famously. I am obsessed with anything historical, the Tudors, the History Channel, Deadwood. Serial Killers, Rapists, injustice, the dregs of society, majorly gets me going, i can't explain it, I have issues. I also adore 20 something humor prime time cartoons, 80's style family sitcoms and outlandishly dramaticBooks
I love memoirs and creative non-fiction, Augusten Burroughs, Dave Eggers, David Sedaris and Dorothy Alison. I also like historical fiction like Barbara Kingslover. I like to get lost in my books, forget who or where I am when I read. I am also obsessed with the movies that used to be books genre, eventhough i spend the entire movie talking about how much better the book is. I also like to read books to people indirectly, like saying three or four times an hour, "huh, you know whats interesting...?" I'm pretty annoying.Heroes
My dad and my mom, they managed to hold together a healthy, happy marriage in the midst of all the craziness that afects couples. My mother is a Lymphoma survivor and my dad was battling colon cancer, and passed away in June. My parents were together nearly 30 years and I respect the commitment they had to each other and the very real, very true love that they felt. After having my daughter I fully realized the depth of their love and commitment to my sisters and I and I will always be thankful to them for their love and undying support in my life.
