Queenie was originally a fantasy name borrowed from a novel by Michael Korda. In the novel, Queenie is a girl born to a white man and an Indian woman of low caste. She runs away to London and becomes a film star, but she can never seem to outrun the shame of being half-caste and lowly born.
I have wanted to write music from the time I could speak--I've played my own music since about age six but my first official song was written when I was twelve. When I was a kid, I wanted to learn music out of the burning desire to figure out how to write melodies: I was desperate to understand what I was doing! I play guitar and piano, but somehow became known more as a singer over the years. I enjoy singing--it's the one thing I'm not shy about--I'm that nutty person who hums a tune in the grocery store.
Nowadays, I write, sing, play, and produce all of my music in my home studio.
The best music always comes to me in dreams, where the music is the soundtrack to flying or adventures. The music I hear in dreams is the inspiration for my current big project, the upcoming concept album and free audiobook The Dream of Flight.
..A Fictional Turn for the Dream of Flight..
Queenie has become more of an alter-ego than someone I associate with myself. She's a grand courtesan, a half-caste geisha outside of Japan like a fish out of water. I am developing a story (but you know how stories swell into novellas and even novels) about a girl named Quin who is trapped by circumstance in a haunted school. Quin spends most of her days wishing she lived in the past and has terrifying experiences in the school with ghosts. Against a backdrop where children are constantly disappearing, Quin discovers a portal to another dimension, the dimension of dreams. Queenie has become a side character in all this, mentoring Quin when help is desperately needed.

UNTOUCHED LIVE ALBUM
I don't perform live anymore, but my live album UNTOUCHED, unedited except for mastering, is available at CD Baby.
Artists: Though I'd love to collab with every musician who asks me to, I often simply run out of time. Let me know about your project--if I like what I hear, I may be interested in working with you.
I'm very shy, and also I have a normal job that keeps me very busy. So please be patient for my reply. I will always answer you, but sometimes it takes me a long time to get to things.
The internet is the only real outlet for my music. You are the number one driving force that has inspired me to create music and fiction. Without people like you, in this short lifetime, I truly would be nowhere and nobody on the planet would have ever heard of me. I'm eternally thankful for the people I meet through this site every day.
My first album, QUEENIE, was produced with mostly zero money out of my bedroom closet in 2002. Suprisingly it did extremely well (99 percent because of the internet) and I became known for my songs, especially one in particular called "Lost". I no longer perform live shows.
In 2004, I finished my first novel, the vampire story Forever Fifteen that I released for free as an audiobook online. The book became very popular and the fan mails helped me through some very severe depression. I was inspired to write a new project, a storyline to go along with my concept album the DREAM OF FLIGHT. It represents a bigger, more hi-fi approach to recording for me as well as my first combined approach to fiction and music.
Sending love--thanks for your support because it means a world to me.
Thanks for the comment. I really appreciate it. I like your music too, keep it up. Much success to you. How are things? I wanted to let you know also that my debut album "AMAZING" will be releasing soon. The album is available for pre-order on Walmart.com
thank you Queenie! your music is gorgeous and well suited for many of the weddings and commitment ceremonies we do. If you know of anyone looking for a kick ass non-traditional wedding ceremony...send them my way!!

anyway,I found a picture called 'princess Lily' surrounded by flowers which was painted by a Korean illustrator. I think she really resembles Mia Sara in Legend.
I put her on my background. ( it cannot work unless you visit second time... or you can see her in my 'about me' section.)

Thanks for adding me to your friends list. I'm looking forward to reading the print copy of Forever Fifteen. I have a bit of a backlog on my 'to read' list at the moment plus I'm waiting for the Australian dollar to bounce back a bit. I thing we are about 62c in the dollar at the moment which is pushing the price to nearly $30 without postage.
