  • General

    Family first....then music,writing poetry, gardening, hunting for everything out there....fish, fur or fowl, nuts, berries and the fungus amongus. Ruins for treasures to craft with,home renovation and decorating, camping, cooking,blah blah blah

  • Music

    Almost never country, least no goat ropin music...always rockin; can't help myself. Although...I do have a vested interst in bluegrass, folk and gospel...Still pickin the strings off my 1962 Rose covered Sears Silvertone...we're never far apart...it feels me. Favs are Tom Petty, Neil Young, Rob Zombie, John Fogerty, Beatles....old favs that I listen to everyday are Cream, Deep Purple, Nazareth, Mountain, The Band, Yes, Skynard, Led Zepplin,...Too many to list actually....Col gets me the hook up. Suffice it to say I listen to everything I have loved since 1969! Loud and proud too! In the last couple of years I've seen Tom Petty, Black Crowes, Motley Crue and Aerosmith.....not too bad for an ole grandma from the Northwoods huh? Damn Straight! Keep on rockin in the free world!

  • Movies

    Sci Fi, Action Adventure, Horror, and Comedy. Don't do sappy, need a box of tissues kind of stuff... I've had enough tears to last a lifetime tyvm! National Lampoons Christmas Vacation makes me laugh every time I watch it...that IS how my life was growing up...makes me thankful for all my wonderful friends...they're Gods way of making up for some of my relatives..Got a cuzin Eddy or two in the mix. Ponder the idea that Zombies are possible...I'm ready! Are you?

    Survivor, Am. Idol, all the CSI's, Criminal Minds, House,Spike Scream Awards, Jerico, Heroes, UFC and MMA, HGTV and I really hope they bring back Am. Inventor cuz I've got this teleportation device I'm thinkin I need to develop....HA! I Wish!!!

    THE SHACK by Wm. Paul Young****Koontz, John Saul, Steven King, Iris Johanson, deep dark poetry and some love stuff to keep the old loneliness factor peakin!!!

    My Parents, siblings and my own dear children whom without... I'd be a skeleton in the woods by now....lost and long forgotten. Number One is the one who gave them all to me.. who took some big nails in the hands among other really painful things for me and for you! To give us a chance at even attempting to muddle through this crazy life and never leaves our side. Papa...I love ya lots! AMEN!! Get er dun....times a wastin!

About me:

Woman/Child in terminal transistion....lots of turbulence!! So far its either the good kind or self induced... Mother of 4 "GreatBig GreatBigs" Grandmother of 2 boys and 2 girls and they are the joy of my life. Live in the Great, often snowy, Northwoods of Michigan. Caretake 160 acres of Gods Country in the West Northwoods for my family affectionately known as "Sweetwater" Garden, craft, pick and grin...howl and yodel sometimes~not so much sing anymore. But hey, I CAN pick, grin, howl,and yodel at the same time!!! Now that there is talent! Don't care who ya are! I hunt, fish, cook for a tribe, grope for nuts and berries and other goodies I find in the woods...I love it! Devoted to my family, they ALWAYS come first! Prolly gonna catch hell for all my wicked ways,maybe not,one can always hope! I do always try to be the better person, walk a mile in the others shoes when I don't understand motives and believe that even tho I may cross somebodys line everyday...my prayers go to one who understands, forgives and probably thinks I'm pretty funny...on occasion! Keep on trying to be worthy of my blessings...In the end that's what it's all about. I have two passions that I can and do indulge in oft as I can...music and writing poetry and they have become my therapy. I used to think the sharing of these passions made me vunerable...now not so much. I believe that by times they allow me to thrive and by sharing I somehow gain strength to go on, and sometimes I need a lot of that...so thank you all for letting me share. Who I'd like to meet:

Pretty packages all tied up with all the trimmings aren't always what you thought they'd be when you look inside. Sometimes that "last to be opened", brown paper box tied with twine holds the treasure you least expected but most desired... the one that more thought was given to how it would make YOU feel than how beautiful everyone else might think it is. If you get that....you might just be able to get me. That's what I'm looking for...the plain brown box... the someone who "Gets Me" ..
