The basics: happily married to my husband Bill for almost 20 years. We have two boys. Jordan is 18 and Joshua is 13. We have been adjusting back to life in the US after three years in beautiful Germany. We now reside in Woodstock, GA. My maiden name is Cassandra Gillespie and I grew up in Seminole, Oklahoma. If you know me, please say hello! I love getting in touch with old friends.
More about me: I love working out and teaching spinning classes. I'm a fitness addict! I have changed a lot over the last few years and I feel like I'm finally becoming the REAL me that was scared to come out and play for so many years! I come from an old fashioned, conservative Oklahoma family. I'm thankful for how I was raised, and still have strong faith and values because of it. I am a Christian and I give thanks to God for everything good in my life. I am so blessed! I was always a bit of a rebel and a loner in some ways. I never felt like I fit in anywhere. Ahh.. who cares. Being normal is boring. I think I've finally found myself. I was in Germany all this time! BTW, I'm the queen of Vilseck. I'm not sure what happens when I relocate. I wonder if Marietta, GA needs a queen? Ready or not, here I come!
Happy Early Birthday!! I'm always bad about forgetting on the actual day, so I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday now. Hope things are looking up for you and yours. :D
Glad to hear your about half way to settled! LOL To coin a famous quote "This to shall pass!" Just stoped by to se how your were doing and if life was settling down yet? Keep in touch! Shanne'
I'm sorry you're working so much while trying to get settled into the house! I hope you can get settled soon! Good luck getting the things from Washington. We're waiting on our stuff from there, too, we put most of our HHG in storage when James went to Korea. We faxed them our release paperwork and have been calling them like crazy since the 15th of September and still, no stuff! they said they'd "try" to have it here by October 22nd! I'm going crazy not having any furniture or our washer and dryer! I've been spending $80 a week at the laundromat! Crazy! Just think, though, as soon as you get your stuff, you don't have to deal with any aspect of a military move ever again! Lucky you! :-) Big hugs! I'll be keeping you in my prayers!
I know how the living with family thing goes. This past year back home with my family was SO stressful. I feel for you! I'll definitely be praying that all the right doors open up soon for you to find the perfect house for your family. And that things go more smoothly until then! :-) I hope your work schedule gets a little easier and you all have a little more time to relax! Big Hugs!
Hey! How are things going for you? How have you all been settling into civilian life? Are you liking Georgia? How is Jordan doing? And Josh? Any luck on the house hunt? Things here are okay. James finally got back from Korea after he was held over for some Captain accusing him of committing a crime. Everything was finally squared away, but it cut into a lot of his leave time and cost us a lot of extra money. And now, we finally made it to Kansas. Fort Leavenworth is nice, a little too nice. It's mostly higher up officers stationed here, because there is the Command and Staff General College on base and you can tell the base definitely caters to them. It's a little unnerving, lol. But we've been stuck in a motel since the end of August, because we can't get into our house until the 15th. It's just been a nightmare of a move. I really hope we get to stay put for a while, moving with the Army is no fun, lol. Well, I hope everything is going well with you and the family. I hope things are going well with your new jobs and tell Bill and the boys we said hi! :-)
hey was thinking about u guys and hope things are well in HoT GA :). Excited about the house for u. I know this is probably a stressful time but you are strong and everything will calms down eventually. How is Jordon???? is he in Ok now?
