QUEEN TIPSY plays an eclectic mix of soulful blues inspired originals, plus traditional and standard blues and jazz, and bluesrock. They perform in the NYC area as both a three piece and four piece band. They perform acoustic and/or electric sets. QUEEN TIPSY'S debut CD Titled "Next Drink's On Me" was released in 2006. QUEEN TIPSY received a performance grant in 2006 for excellence in the arts from THE CULTURAL COALITION OF ARTS & HUMANITIES OF STATEN ISLAND. In 2007 Jon Specter received a Premier Grant for Original Songwriting also from COAHSI. These award winning songs can be heard on queen tipsy my space. Also in 2007 Phyllis Forman was awarded the title "Staten Island's favorite Diva" by popular vote of the reader's of the Staten Island Advance. In 2008 Phyllis Forman received an Encore Grant from COAHSI for her upcoming project "At Your Request" which will feature the Queen Tipsy band playing music specifically requested by Seniors in the Staten Island community.
