I just read a story in the news paper the article is called REAL PEOPLE MUCH HARDER TO HATE. by Leonard Pitts Jr.

This story was about a couple that was married and right was give to each partner. At Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami this woman was stop and could not see her dieing partner. The Hospital social work add stated " I need you to know you are in an anti-gay city and state and you get to know about Lisa's condition of see her"

Wow this makes me so so very up set and pissed off. It is agents the code of Ethics and is very unethical. I am ashamed of this bigotry that still go on in the USA. I am here to say people should be able to see there own love one no matter if a friend, family, and or lover. We need to speak up this is crazy. It could happen here because we have laws that are close to the same that they have in F.L.

About this page:
I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there is a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There is also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this.

11th Annual National Day of Silence sure to be loud

Students nationwide take part in a Day of Silence

NEW YORK – Get ready for campuses all over the country to be a little quieter. On Wednesday, April 18, 2007 students nationwide will be commemorating the national Day of Silence. They will be quiet all day to protest the discrimination, harassment and abuse—in effect, the silencing—faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender students and their allies in schools.

The Day of Silence, a project of GLSEN, will be held during school hours. Hundreds of thousands of students are expected to participate on April 18, many of whom will wear stickers and pass out ‘speaking cards’ that read:


"Please understand my reasons for not speaking today. I am participating in the Day of Silence, a national youth movement protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their allies in schools. My deliberate silence echoes that silence, which is caused by harassment, prejudice, and discrimination. I believe that ending the silence is the first step toward fighting these injustices. Think about the voices you are not hearing today. What are you going to do to end the silence?"


GLSEN’s 2005 National School Climate Survey found that more than 64% of LGBT students report verbal, sexual or physical harassment at school and 29% report missing at least a day of school in the past month out of fear for their personal safety. The Day of Silence is one way students and their allies are making anti-LGBT bullying, harassment and name-calling unacceptable in America’s schools.
