From Midwood Street (between Utica & Schenectady), hails a Brooklyn native who’s here to pretty much change the game for good. His name’s Quest Boogie!! He’s gonna take you on a journey to make your body move. He’s here to bring the fun and focus back to Hip-Hop.
"Nowadays, Hip-Hop is becoming more mirror-imaged than ever, don’t get me wrong, some still hold it down but others...you wonder how they got record deals," says Q. Boogie.
This artist has been in the game for ten years, and he’s getting stronger and more focused every year. He’s so hungry, he’s still putting tracks down while stationed in Baghdad , Iraq. Yeah...he’s a soldier-for real, for real. But don’t think because he’s a soldier, he won’t tell you what the deal is (as stated in "Letter To The President"). He not only spits, he sings a little as well (as illustrated in "Lover’s Quarrel").
Quest’s inspirations include: Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Mos Def, Talib Kwali, Kanye West, Lauren Hill, and Missy Elliott.
After listening to his demo CD, you will understand why he calls himself "Brooklyn’s Favorite." But most importantly, he’s doing something that can’t no other rapper can say they did...and that’s against own free will, deploy to Iraq to protect not only his wife and son, but the country as well.
