Hi! We are Anne and Lisa and we are two simple and ordinary girls who believe in potential, aiming high and always pushing ourselves to the limit. We believe that no matter what it is that we want to achieve, as long as there is a will we can achieve anything. Absolutely anything is possible.
Welcome to The Open Mind which documents our journey of self discovery as it unfolds. A journey that has the ability to take us anywhere, a journey into the unknown, in the present, with our heart and mind in complete unison. We both have the awareness that if we transform ourselves we can create a transformation in the world, whether small or big. The important thing is to act now in the present.
At the core we are about creating a positive transformation in the world giving a voice to people who don't have a voice, to the silent world that is waiting to speak. We will help them find their voice in the only way we know how through one of the greatest gifts in life, the gift of creativity.
We believe that in today's society it is very important to help and support each other. We understand that it may seem difficult at times to see that we can create a better world but if we want it bad enough there is always a way. All we need is a little bit of imagination, to believe in ourselves, to believe that we all have something of value to share with society and to not restrict ourselves in any way.
So we are starting with ourselves, sharing all the highs and lows of our journeys from this moment. Both of our journeys are unique, as it is with everyone else in the universe. We see life as an epic adventure; we have no idea where it will lead us, but as with all journeys in life it is the unexpected moments that create the biggest transformations.
It's all about being our natural self and understanding our true nature, the person we are free from restrictions and external influence. Because once you understand your true nature you no longer feel restricted, all doubts and insecurities disappear and you feel free.
Taking life as it comes, not knowing what will come next, without fear or limitations, is truly liberating. We love living in the present moment, learning from everything and everyone we encounter. Being in the now is absolute freedom.
We can promise only one thing that we will be present in the moment and going with whatever life throws at us with hope, inspiration and the belief that anything can happen when you are open, absolutely anything. We will be living proof that you can change yourself and create a change in the world; it's as simple as making the choice to do so.

My mission in life is to fight Human trafficking...understanding the individual pain of others is sometimes to painful for an other individual to touch and that is frightening ... what i mean is that someone whose life is not traumatized and brutalized as a regular sequence of every day events unconsciously seeks the camouflage and shelter of apathy and banality from the reality of such devastating anguish and terror ...but the spirit of young people who are used as sex slaves in the systematized global industry of human trafficking is now reaching out to the human fellowship in hope and desperation and through technology ...
it is scary when humanity turns a blind eye to this horror ...its like ignoring genocide whilst it is happening ...
what i am asking is that if you hear the cry of these young people who are existing in an environment of torture and brutality each and every day that you then please do not turn away from them ...
please reach deeply into your heart and soul and join a movement that challenges modern slavery in the 21st century ...

I walked along a road today Soft trees & birds, encouraged my way How peaceful I thought on this sacred track I must be dreaming as I turned to look back
How I wished that all peoples could see The beauty & joy that was surrounding me Feelings of bliss and of pain no more Enveloped my heart, twas heaven for sure
But where does it lead, what will the end be? Perhaps a kingdom of Peace, where all are but free Where all can be safe and out of harms way And can finally rest, a marvellous day
So I continued along, my spirit was high Thinking of all good awaiting…by and by I came to a turn and rounded the bend And could now see the road had come to an end
Yet no kingdom could be seen, I admit with a sigh But a lonely signpost placed lo the years gone by With words carved upon it by hands that were old Of wisdom & grace…rare truth they have told
For it struck me with awe, as enlightening it said The road I had travelled was Peace in each stead So take heed dear friends, learn and be bold “There is no road to peace…. Peace is the road”.
