Quest University Canada is founded on a simple premise: that the best education comes not from knowing the right answers, but in learning how to ask insightful questions. Led by Dr. David Strangway, former President of the University of British Columbia, the founders of Quest were convinced that today's students are not being best-served by the traditional university structures. So they created a university committed to fostering intellectual curiosity and nurturing students' abilities to express, advance and champion their ideas.
Education at Quest is designed expressly for the 21st-century student. Courses integrate disciplines and offer a fusion of practical and academic knowledge. A small student population ensures an intense, collaborative learning environment in which students work closely with faculty and peers. And affiliations with 18 leading universities throughout the world offer annual review of Quest's academic program and also provide student exchange and work abroad opportunities.
The name Quest University Canada captures the essence of the academic journey students undertake when they join this university. Quest speaks to a bold, personal mission - a journey of exploration and discovery, undertaken by those who are confident and pioneering, curious and passionate, committed and resolute.
Quest's $100 million residential campus is currently in construction on the spectacular Pacific Coast of British Columbia, midway between the international city of Vancouver and the world-class resort town of Whistler. In the town of Squamish, students have the chance to participate in a rage of "sea to sky" sports that include everything from kayaking to rock climbing - and, through field experiences, engage directly with the natural world.
