Quiche Qualm are a rock’n’roll four piece from Stoke on Trent who met at Burslem College in September 04. The initial members, Iain, Ry and Ol, formed the band due to the positive response they received from audiences and other bands at college gigs. In Late 2005 Ant joined the band to give us the final line up we see today.
Their biggest influences come from bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who, CCR, The Beatles, The Doors, Motley Crue, the red hot chilli peppers, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Ram Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many more. Since forming, Quiche Qualm have performed gigs all over the Stoke-on-Trent area at venues such as The Limelight, The Sugarmill, The Glebe, Satchmo’s, Chicago Rock Café, Fat Cats, and have also played venues out of the area like The Robin in Wolverhampton and The Cavern in Liverpool.
Since forming Quiche Qualm have recorded two demos at Abbey sound in Rugeley and Tremolo studios in Silverdale both have been featured on BBC Radio Stoke’s subculture programme on many occasion.
In May 2006 they managed to progress through to the semi finals of a local radio “Signal 1 Battle of the bands competition”.
They are currently looking to expand their gigs to bigger cities like Manchester, London and Liverpool and are searching for a record deal.
