I live/eat/breathe music. I really enjoy racquetball. I used be into Keichu-do but I've fallen out of practice. I need to get back into it. I love to read when I have the time. I really enjoy cooking as well.

There's not nearly enough space here and anyway I doubt have the strength. Pick five, you say? Okay ... Queensryche, Dream Theater, Kamelot, Tool/APC, Steve Vai ... Seriously, good music is good music and I listen to just about anything that doesn't suck. If I kept going with the list I'd have to add some pop, country, R&B, ... but, above all, tons of classic rock.

Television
I LOVE "Battlestar Galactica"; there is so much more depth there than you probably expect. Great storytelling!
About the only other things that I currently make it a point to watch, if my schedule allows, are: "24", "Heroes", "House", "Lost", "Saving Grace" and "Burn Notice".
Anything I else I watch is normally on a catch-as-catch-can basis and is incidental to whatever else I'm doing at the time.
Books
I have given up any semblance of trying to keep up with my literary forays in this little MySpace box; I read every chance I get (granted, not as often as I'd like) and my choices are eclectic.

About me: Where to begin ... call me Chip; how’s that for a start? My given name is Warren; there’s nothing wrong with it but I’ve been “Chip” my entire life and it’s comfortable.
I’ve been in the US Army for over 22 years now and have spent most of that time as a Guitar Player in various US Army bands in several countries. I have three very bright and talented children from a previous marriage and am currently married to a wonderfully engaging, highly intelligent, and undeniably beautiful woman and we are hoping to have some children of our own.
I am a musician by both profession and temperament; my primary instrument is the guitar (although I have played bass on numerous occasions and sometimes dabble with keys and percussion) but my focus for the past few years has been on composition and arranging.

Having said all that, let me use this space to bring something to the fore: Let me take you back to 1995 ... This is "Carry On Wayward Son" as performed by the 98th Army Band's rock band "Crossfire", an ensemble I led when stationed there. We were playing in the Youth Services gym at Fort Rucker and I had the camcorder running (as usual) but the recording came out well and the machine was eating the VHS so a friend of mine saved this clip as an MPG. So enjoy a decent performance of a moderately difficult song and feel free to go ahead and laugh at how old we all have gotten. Please bear in mind that we weren't making a music video, this is just a home movie of us making a living. Hey, haven't heard from you in a while. How's everything going? I've been pretty busy lately, things getting kinda hectic with what I'm doing now. Can't figure out what I want to do now that I'm graduated. Got a lot going on. Sometime before the summers end though, I was thinking maybe I could go down for a visit or something. I have to plan it ahead though, because my work schecdule needs at least 2 weeks notice. Maybe august sometime after the 4th (cause I'm going to watch Dream Theater play in Albany then haha) I'll figure it out. . . I gotta get out of here anyways for a few days..

Thanks brother. I'm now 38. Which is ironic for me because my call sign here is Echo38. That's been been pointed out to me several times by a few smart ass young LT's who want their college degree'd asses kicked. Anyways, things are cool. I can't wait to get home for R&R. I'm ready for a break and i'm excited to get to see Jeremy graduate. I brought my guitar on this deployment and i've spent a lot of time playing. I wrote a few songs since i've been here (lyrics and all). Some pretty interesting stuff i might add. I don't know how to write music so i just tabbed them out. I'm anxious to get home and show Jeremy. Take care brother and don't be a stranger. BTW, when i get back, i'll only have 2 years left till CW3 and 4 years left till i retire. Then, who knows what. We'll see.

Man,that video really takes me back. I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but I have been VERY nostalgic lately. I miss the early to mid 80's, when bands like Iron Maiden, Dio, and Randy Rhoads era Ozzy were at the top. I remember when Queensryche were new. Those were good times. I am thinking if we all went back to just having misery and got rid of it's shadow (where we think too much about it) it might be more manageable! LOL!
We're nowhere done yet. They said that they were coming again yesterday, but they never showed up. We called the transportation office out at Ft. Rucker, and they had gotten their dates confused.
